Emmy award-winning DOP/Cinematographer and drone pilot with over 30yrs experience in high-end documentary, wildlife, popular factual, drama, commercials and features. Broadcasters include National Geographic, BBC, ITV, C4, Netflix and C5 – via independent production companies like Tern, IWC Media, Boundless, JDP, Bigger Bang, Lion Television, Timeline and Gadabout Films.

Freelance Glasgow based cameraman, with extensive experience working with the latest high end full frame broadcast camera equipment. Worked worldwide in places like Mayanmar, Panama the Middle East, America and Australia. I have visited most of Scotlands Highlands and Islands and also worked in Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness, I can be based from anywhere else if required.

Lighting is an area I have a great deal of expertise in and can operate and light large set ups in any location from studios to caves and I particularly enjoy portraiture lighting. I have a wealth of filming and photography experience in many industrial, commercial and maritime environments having worked on oil rigs, ships, factories, exposed coastlines and underwater. The Arts, Science Documentary and Factual TV are also areas as a Glasgow freelance cameraman I have been involved in particularly for Freemantle Media, Naked, and the BBC etc.  

Aviation I have huge passion for, I've flown over 10,000 hours P1, filmed from many aerial platforms including military Jets, helicopters, experimental aircraft, microlights and paragliders.

TV Drone Work / aerial camerawork / aerial inspection combine well with my flying experience. Full CAA operational authorisation (GVC & A2ofC).

I have a full compliment of high end camera equipment, including Sony FX9, FX6, FX3 cameras, Canon CN7, full set of Canon CN Cine Prime Lenses (14/24/35/50/85/135), full selection of Sony GM lenses (everything from 12mm to 600mm) Macro kit, DJI Ronin Gimbal, ProMedia Gear and Camtram tracks, Arri/Dedo/Kinoflo/Litepanel lights. Camera formats can include: Red, Panasonic P2, Sony, FS7MK11, Canon C300, C300 mk11, DJI Inspire 2 and Mavic 3 Cine & Pro Cine drones. Glasgow and Edinburgh are within easy reach of me.
